It is the 2005 version of 1979 series. This "remake" features upgrades to production staff, voice actors, character design, and sound.
Doraemon is a cat-like robot from the 22nd Century who appears in the present to steer Nobita/Noby, a dumb clumsy boy, onto the right path in order to secure a better future. Nobita's love interest is Shizuka Minamoto/Sue, his frenemies are Takeshi "Gian" Goda/Big G and Suneo/Sneech. Each episode features Doraemon showing Nobita a cool gadget from the 22nd Century to help him overcome the main conflict in the episode.
